Project Management
Lamoureux CSE has over 10 years experience managing projects with budgets in the range of $20k to $2million, and teams ranging from one member to over 20 members. As a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Lamoureux CSE has the skills and knowledge to help our customers manage their projects more effectively and successfully. Specifically, Lamoureux CSE can help:
- Initiate a project, from setting a preliminary scope to writing a project charter;
- Plan a project, by agreeing detailed scope and requirements, creating a work breakdown structure, assigning resources and costs to tasks, identifying risks, considering all the factors that are needed for success, developing a schedule, and ensuring all stakeholder’s interests are represented;
- Executing a project, ensuring that all tasks are carried out, facilitating and empowering the team members, and being responsible and accountable for the quality of the output;
- Control a project, by making sure that the agreed scope is followed (not exceeded) that deliverables are provided on time, that budgets are not exceeded, that risks are not allowed to threaten the success of the project, and managing changes so that the impact to cost and schedule is known and educated decisions about changes can be made; and,
- Close a project, ensuring that important information developed during the course of the project is available in the future from which others can learn.
Our approach is to work in partnership with our customer and identify the stakeholders for a project. A successful project needs to balance the needs of all its stakeholders, and build these needs into the plan. Collaboration with the customer helps in the prioritisation and weighting of different, potentially conflicting requirements and gives the project the best chance of satisfying all of its stakeholders and being of real value.
